
Hideout Festival
Hideout had a huge audience travelling from the UK to Croatia every year, but customers were booking their accommodation through Airbnb and booking.com and their flights via Skyscanner. The Verso sales team joined in 2017 and tapped into the convenience of package sales. During the first year we managed to unlock insight from customer feedback that led us to completely redefining Hideout’s travel offering for year 2, simplifying the sales process and making sure pricing matched their audience. All this led to a massive new revenue stream for the business, growing from £198k in Year 1 to £1.6m in year 2.

Snowbombing
Snowbombing is a snow sports and music festival in Mayrhofen, Austria. As a festival they have a large variety of options available and they needed a dynamic, personable & knowledgeable sales team that could work autonomously to match the budgets & preferences of their customers with their constantly changing stock of accommodation options. We simplified the booking experience for them and their customers were delighted to have a team to speak to. This led to a steady year on year revenue growth and a 12% increase in retention for the festival as a whole. We ran several campaigns pushing extras to customers in the lead up to the festival resulting in their best ever year for advanced extra purchases.

Vodafone
Vodafone wanted to increase their awareness of their free European roaming coverage to a UK audience across a younger demographic and became a headline sponsor at Hideout Festival 2017. The marketing team worked with Vodafone in the six months leading to the event and in-event to maximise reach across a 360 marketing campaign including social media, advertising, press, partners, a physical activation designed and built by the team and a bespoke influencer campaign. The campaign was a huge success reaching over six million people online across the five-day festival.

Field Day
Verso were brought in to launch Field Day’s new electronic lineup for the 2020 festival at The Drumsheds, Enfield. The festival was repositioning itself from a varied music offering to a more electronic focused lineup and needed a marketing campaign to help facilitate this to a new audience whilst not isolating their loyal fan base. The team worked across a strategic marketing campaign including social media, PR and advertising whilst maintaining partnerships with BULLDOG GIN and Ninja Tune. The campaign was a huge success, selling 75% of tickets in the first month.

Hideout Festival
The Verso team has been working on Hideout Festival since its inception in 2011. It has grown from a small festival to one of the biggest electronic festivals in Europe. With a decade of experience we have adapted and changed our approach each year to bring in a new fresh crowd, coming up with innovative advertising, social media and PR campaigns and activations, selling up to 15k tickets year on year, and working collaboratively with a number of brands such as BBC Radio 1, Capital Radio, Spotify, Topman, Vodafone and more.

Capital Xtra
In 2017 UK hit radio station Capital Xtra took up residency on-site at Hideout Festival. They broadcast live each night, whilst also conducting interviews with the headliners, reporting on behind the scenes action and their favourite performances. We managed the travel and accommodation logistics for over 50 Capital Xtra, Global & Vodafone staff, including site visits, flights, ground transport and car hire. We designed and distributed detailed travel itineraries, handled all accreditation requirements and dealt with the on-site check-in process, sourced and set up production area for Capital Xtra broadcast team and organised talent interviews over the whole week.

MDL Beast
Verso was brought in to curate the underground artist program across 4 stages for the MDL Beast festival in Saudi Arabia. We went on to manage these contracts, budgets and operations in what turned out to be an extremely successful first year with over 70,000 attendees. We collaborated with the client to generate an artist shortlist and curated an outstanding festival/ event line up. We created and managed the artist budget for stages 2-5, compiled show times, artist running orders and set times. Furthermore, we handled all formal offers, contracts, invoices and riders, assisted artist liaison team with artist logistics, accommodation, visas and work permits and managed photo/ video and press restrictions including compiled feedback reports, resulting in an incredible show.

VOXI
Voxi, put on an exclusive event in Manchester with artists such as Disciples and Jax Jones. They wanted to promote and encourage students and under 25’s to ‘switch’ to their award winning sim only network, that features unlimited data for some social media and chat apps. Verso, presented artists that would appeal to that audience, booked the artists, managed budgets, stage, production, and the artist liaison team.
